Inauguration of Martin Dow plant by the French President (Meymac, 16 March 2017)

The Embassy of France in Pakistan very warmly congratulates Mr. Jawed Akhai, owner of the leading Pakistani Pharmaceutical Company, Martin Dow, and his whole team for the inauguration of their new plant in France by President François Hollande in the town of Meymac, Corrèze, on 16th of March 2017.

In his speech, President François Hollande said that this investment is a symbol of Pakistan-France friendship, which will further grow in years to come. He added that acquisition of former American Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Pharmaceutical plant by a Pakistani company was a positive step in consolidating investment ties between France and Pakistan and as well as for creating new job opportunities in the region.

On this occasion, the Embassy of France is pleased to announce that a high-level delegation of prominent French business groups organized by MEDEF will visit Pakistan very soon, which will further strengthen bilateral economic and commercial relations between France and Pakistan.
