Inauguration of the Uch-II thermal power plant

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday , April 25, 2014 inaugurated the Uch-II thermal power plant with an installed capacity of 404MW at Dera Murad Jamali (Baluchistan). This power plant is an extension of Uch-I which is already generating 586 MW since 2000. On this occasion the prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif congratulated all the stakeholders including the French owner GDF-Suez for successfully completing the project. The total investments in Pakistan by the GDF-Suez exceeds $ I billion in these two facilities.
