Visit to France by Mr. Khurshid Mehmud Kasuri, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan visited Paris from July 4 to 6.
Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy had a meeting with Mr. Kasuri on July 4. The meeting was followed by a working dinner. Mr. Kasuri also met with the speakers of the National Assembly and Senate, and appeared before the National Assembly foreign affairs committee.
Pakistan is a key partner on many issues dealing with regional security (Afghanistan) and international security (terrorism, proliferation, drugs). In addition the Pakistani economy has been particularly dynamic over the past few years, and our trade with the country has increased remarkably. Pakistan accounts now for 16.5% of French exports to south Asia.
