The largest French Company TOTAL invests again in Pakistan, launches new lubricant plant in Karachi

“TOTAL Atlas Lubricants Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited (TALP), has
inaugurated on Thursday a state-of-the-art blending plant in port Qasim.
Attending the inauguration ceremony with the Minister for
Industries and Commerce of the Sindh Government, Mr. M. A. Rauf Siddiqui, the
French Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Daniel Jouanneau, said that the launch of
that plant was an important and encouraging event.
Indeed, this is the second time in less than 10 years that the
largest French company, oil and gas group TOTAL, significantly invests in
Pakistan. After the partnership with Parco
in the field of distribution (200 petrol stations), TOTAL joined hands with the
ATLAS group to build this state-of-the-art plant. This renewed commitment
towards Pakistan constitutes a strong signal for the Pakistani business
community and for the Pakistani Economy.
The French Ambassador commented on the event by saying that he
was glad to witness the strength and vitality of the relations between France
and Pakistan : “When a French company invests in Pakistan for the first time,
it’s a good news, but when it decides to invest again several years later, It’s
a true sign of trust for its local partners and the business environment in
Pakistan”. He concluded by saying that this event materialized the economic and
