Launching of the “Hello Tomorrow Challenge” in Pakistan at the French Embassy: an international start-up competition promoting innovation

The Embassy of France in Pakistan has hosted the launching of the “Hello Tomorrow Challenge in Pakistan”, a global start-up competition covering all major fields of technology.
This international start-up competition aims to promote projects based on scientific and technological innovations with high potential. The competition is open to young researchers and entrepreneurs. It reflects the mobilization in France in support of creativity and entrepreneurship.
This is the second edition of the competition, which will grant more than 170 000 € to the best innovating start-up projects developed in one of the six following fields: energy and environment, food and agriculture, transport and mobility, materials and manufacturing, healthcare and information technologies.
The Ambassador of France to Pakistan, Her Excellency Martine Dorance, launched the competition on Thursday 12th February 2015 at the Embassy of France in Islamabad in presence of the CEOs of Nayatel and Somerset Capital Holding, more than 60 entrepreneurs and academics, and managers from French companies in Pakistan. This event was the opportunity to highlight all the initiatives taken by France during the last few years to support start-ups and to gather young Pakistani entrepreneurs, researchers and investors in Islamabad.
The 30 best startups of the Hello Tomorrow Challenge will be invited at the “Grande Finale” and Award Ceremony will be organized on June 26th, 2015 in Paris.
