Climate – Mr. Laurent Fabius’s participation in the 6th Petersberg Dialogue (Berlin, May 18 and 19, 2015) [fr]
Mr. Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development and President of the Paris Climate Conference – COP21, will be in Berlin on Monday and Tuesday to co-chair, together with the German minister for the environment, the 6th Petersberg Dialogue.
The Petersberg Dialogue is an informal ministerial meeting on the fight against climate disruption, in which about 40 countries that are representative of the diversity of the negotiating groups participate.
Following the informal meeting in Paris from May 6 to 8, this is a very useful step toward preparing for the negotiations on June 1 in Bonn, in which Mr. Fabius will participate. It will involve, in particular, identifying the areas of convergence and assessing the progress achieved since Lima.
