Climate – Mediterranean – Opening by Annick Girardin of the symposium on “Intercultural dialogue and cooperation in support of a sustainable Mediterranean” (Paris, October 15, 2015)

On October 15, at the National Assembly, Annick Girardin, Minister of State for Development and Francophony, opened a symposium on “Intercultural dialogue and cooperation in support of a sustainable Mediterranean,” organized together with the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Union for the Mediterranean.

The Anna Lindh Foundation, which was established in 2004 by the 43 member countries of the Union for the Mediterranean and the European Commission and is led by Elisabeth Guigou, Chair of the National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee, aims to promote intercultural dialogue.

With just a few weeks left until the opening of the Paris Climate Conference, Annick Girardin reaffirmed the importance of this dialogue in building a peaceful and mutually supportive Mediterranean space and responding to climate challenges.
