Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, COP21 President, will deliver the closing speech at the Summit of Conscience at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council today at 6:00 pm. This speech will be open to the press.

This event will provide an opportunity for the main moral and religious authorities taking part in the summit to express their views on the need to combat climate disruption and to launch a “Call to Conscience for Climate.”

Following the informal ministerial conferences on July 20 and 21, which mobilized the international community at the political level, this event will provide an opportunity to address civil society and, beyond that, the public, in order to ensure the success of COP21.
