Cambodia - Development - Climate - Francophony - Visit by Ms. Annick Girardin (Phnom Penh, May 18 to 20, 2015) [fr]
Ms. Annick Girardin, Minister of State for Development and Francophony, will visit Cambodia from May 18 to 20 to discuss issues relating to development, climate and francophony.
Ms. Girardin will be received by King Norodom Sihamoni and Prime Minister Hun Sen. She will sign, together with Mr. Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the renewed Partnership Framework Document between France and Cambodia. She will also sign financing agreements worth €100 million with Mr. Aun Porn Moniroth, Minister of Finance, as well as with the French Development Agency (AFD).
In Phnom Penh, Annick Girardin will visit the Mekong River Commission’s Flood Management and Mitigation Center as well as a hydro-meteorological measurement station. She will meet with the French NGO, Enfants d’Asie, and will visit Phnom Penh’s central market, which has been renovated thanks to AFD funding.
The minister of state will talk with young French volunteers and will meet with French-speaking Cambodian students from the Royal University of Health Sciences.
